This guide covers what exhibitors need to know about SteelFab 2027. The 22nd edition opens in the busiest week of January, while three other large shows build at the same time.

What is different this year
- SteelFab 2027 runs from 11 to 14 January at Expo Centre Sharjah. Expo Centre Sharjah organises it, with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- In 2026 the show launched AetherEx, a digital twin platform that keeps your stand online after the show.
- Expo Centre Sharjah now works with Messe Essen, the organiser of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Germany.
6 things to watch out for as an exhibitor
1. Plan with the right exhibitor number
The organiser says 350 exhibitors showed more than 600 brands in 2026. Other websites say 465 or 650. Use 350 when you set your targets.
2. Live demos draw the crowd
In 2026, exhibitors ran laser cutting, CNC machines and robots on their stands. Ask the venue early about power, fume extraction and hot-work permits.
3. Heavy machines need a floor check
Get the floor load limit for your hall before you ship. A heavy machine may need spreader plates or a different spot on the floor plan.
4. The buyers run factories nearby
Invest in Sharjah says the emirate has around 40% of the UAE's industrial establishments, with more than 2,800 factories in 21 industrial zones. Bring people who can talk about service and spare parts.
5. Crews are booked that week
Intersec, Light + Intelligent Building and WFES build in the same week. Book crews, trucks and forklifts now.
6. The show days are long
In 2023 the show opened from 10:00 to 19:00 every day. Plan two staff shifts.
Who else will be there
- Exhibitors come from the UAE, Germany, the UK, China, Türkiye, India, Taiwan, Thailand and Egypt.
- The organiser named Electron, a Turkish powder-coating firm that exports to more than 70 countries, as one of its exhibitors.
- Structured B2B meetings ran in 2026, and a welding challenge runs in 2027.
The venue and the city that week
- Traffic between Dubai and Sharjah is heavy at rush hour. Plan deliveries outside peak times.
