AEEDC Dubai 2027 show floor

This guide covers what exhibitors need to know about AEEDC Dubai 2027. AEEDC 2027 sits inside the first Dubai Dental Week, a new city-wide programme from 16 to 22 January.

AEEDC Dubai in numbers

  • 4,316 exhibiting companies in 2026
  • 5,860 brands in 2026
  • 80,000+ visitors from 192 countries in 2026
  • AED 22 billion+ in deals in 2026 (organiser figure)

What is different this year

  • The first Dubai Dental Week runs from 16 to 22 January 2027 at several places in the city. Its portal is DubaiDentalWeek.ae.
  • Dubai Dental Week adds public activities and events at clinics, not only trade events.
  • AEEDC itself runs from 19 to 21 January at DWTC. Courses run before and after the show.

6 things to watch out for as an exhibitor

1. Unregistered devices need an EDE permit

The Emirates Drug Establishment issues a permit for medical products at exhibitions. It costs AED 100 to apply plus AED 1,000 for the permit, and it takes 1 working day. You can only display the products. You cannot sell, use or give them away, and you must re-export them after the show.

2. X-ray units need a second permit

Devices that give off radiation, such as dental X-ray units, also need an import permit from FANR, the UAE nuclear regulator. Add it to your timeline.

3. You need a UAE-licensed importer

The EDE file needs a letter from the organiser, a promise to re-export, invoices with batch or serial numbers, EC and ISO or FDA certificates, and the trade licence of a UAE importer. A foreign exhibitor cannot complete this file alone.

4. Plan the customs route

Dubai Customs charges 5% of the CIF value on exhibition goods, unless you use an ATA Carnet. Dubai Chambers issues a carnet in 1 or 2 working days. A carnet covers customs only and does not replace the EDE permit.

5. No one under 18 in the halls

AEEDC says that under DWTC rules, people under 18 cannot enter the exhibition or conference halls. This is stricter than the usual DWTC limit of 16.

6. Pay only the organiser

INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions owns and runs AEEDC. INDEX says it does not allow any third party to collect fees for it.

Who else will be there

  • Zarc exhibited in 2026 with the other Life Dental Group companies.
  • The 2026 scientific programme had 183 lectures, 20 hands-on workshops and 390 research posters. Dentists spend a large part of the day in sessions.
  • Dubai had 4,162 licensed dentists in March 2024, according to the Dubai Health Authority.

The venue and the city that week

  • In 2023, 29% of Dubai's more than 691,000 health tourists came for dental care. It was the top specialty.
  • Intersec and Light + Intelligent Building fill DWTC the week before, and WHX opens on 25 January.
  • DWTC is next to World Trade Centre Metro Station on the Red Line.
